1 Background
This note describes how reference scans and detector memory effects can combine to affect the data produced from band 2 and band 4 detectors during AOT S06 observations. As background information section 6.7, ``AOT SWS06 : Grating Scan'' of the SWS Observers manual and sections 4.5, ``Memory Effects'', and 3.4.8, ``AOT behaviour - frequency switch'', of the SWS IDUM (V3.0) should be consulted.
