New Version (v6.1) of the ISO Data Archive installed on 11/11/2003
In the afternoon of the 11th of November of 2003, a new version (v6.1) of
the ISO Data Archive (IDA) software was installed.
The major improvements of this new version are :
-
First public version of the ISO Archive InterOperability system
(IAIO).
This system allows ISO Data Archive users to have direct access to the content of the IDA database
without invoking the IDA user interface applet. All levels of products can be retrieved either via
a server socket (run either through a user defined client or an XML file), or through a URL address.
The IAIO also offers access to IDA database and data products via IVOA
(International Virtual Observatory Alliance) standards, in particular the Simple Image Access Protocol
(SIAP).
Users interested in using this system are encouraged to contact the
ISO HelpDesk
or consult the IAIO on-line documentation.
-
The two HPDP and Catalogues panels have been merged into a single one called Highly Processed Data Products (HPDP)
to simplify the interface to these products.
-
Various bug fixes:
-
Correct a problem when searching with SIMBAD in the HPDP catalogue panel.
-
Update some LWS calibration files.
-
Update of the help texts in various places.
-
Fix some compatibility problems with Netscape 7, Java Virtual Machine 1.4.1 and Netscape on DIGITAL UNIX platforms.
-
Further minor fixes have been implemented.
