5. WHAT TO BE AWARE OF

There are several effects to be aware of when processing SWS data. They are described in the IDUM, from which the following sections have been taken:

Users are recommended to examine the SPD from their observations to look for glitches, jumps, memory effects etc. If they are present the user can either throw the affected portions of the data away or try to correct for the effect.
